| Description: |
Although not a zoo, we have included The Pequest Trout Hatchery because it is a great learning resource for kids and adults alike in NJ.
The Pequest Trout Hatchery, located in scenic Warren County, is a state-of-the-art Natural Resource Education Center where you can learn about fish and wildlife in our great state.
Visitors will see how more than 600,000 brook, brown and rainbow trout are raised each year for stocking the public waters of New Jersey. Visit the hatchery’s website to sample a 15-minute video showing the trout rearing operation from egg-gathering to stocking.
