As a mom in Toms River, I hear all the time that people can’t figure out what to do with their kids in this town. Or, they know there’s stuff to do but they just don’t have the time to find it. Well, hopefully this website will help. I’ve searched high and low to find all sorts of places for moms (and dads!) to go to with their kids, activities to sign their kids up for, stuff to do with them at home and more. Of course, I haven’t found everything…yet!
Please feel free to send me an email to TomsRiverMom@gmail.com if you’ve found a buried treasure in or near Toms River, or within a reasonable distance for a day trip, and I’ll put it right up. And, if you have any crafts, recipes or anything that would make the life of a fellow Toms River Mom a little easier, send it on over!
We have a Facebook page named TomsRiverMom.com – on that page you will see ongoing discussions about different topics all the time. Feel free to post any question you have. You will also see photo albums of any of the places I’ve visited so far or that fans of the website have shared with me (farms, playgrounds, etc.).
In the spring, we will be hosting a Trike-a-thon to raise money for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. More info on that can be found here. In the fall we are planning on hosting a Truck Touch to benefit a local organization (not chosen yet). It should be a great event. We will be looking for any sort of truck or vehicle (RV, Ambulance, Fire Truck, Bus, Pick-up…you name it) and have them in one location for kids to walk in, sit in and enjoy. I’ve been to one of these with my daughter and the kids were absolutely loving it.
