cookie

What’s better than having your girls over for a few adult beverages and great conversation? Doing all of that WITH COOKIES! Do it…and invite me! :)

Here’s the gist:

Most of us do at least a little bit of cooking over the holidays…and also love to taste the many types of holiday cookies that are out there…so mix the two together with good friends and a bottle of wine (or 5) and here’s what you get — a cookie exchange.

The way this works is everyone makes a dozen of one kind of cookie for each participant that is attending the cookie exchange. This could wind up being a lot of cookies depending on the amount of attendees … so if you do it via evite have a deadline RSVP date so you know exactly how many cookies you need to make before you start baking!

Everyone gets a dozen of each kind of cookie to take home. The idea is to cut down on holiday baking. Concentrating on one kind of cookie to bake yourself is a lot easier than making 3 or 4 different kinds of cookies. Once all cookies are exchanged, package them up and take them home to enjoy and share with your family. Mid December parties = lots of cookies when the family is over for the holidays!
